The One Story That Leads to Jesus
This reading plan will guide you through the entire Bible in one year. Each day, you’ll read a few chapters—or occasionally skim through large genealogies or census sections—as you make your way from Genesis to Revelation. There are links to articles and videos to help understand the reading.

This app puts everything in one place (scripture, videos, articles, etc.) and keeps you up to date. It makes reading scripture fantastically engaging and accessible for everyone — to those who know nothing about scripture and those who have been reading the Bible for years. If you are a young reader or are traveling and would prefer listening to God’s word while sticking to a plan, this method may be for you. This plan will guide you through the entire Bible in one year and is very similar to the other plan.
FAQ’s
What if I miss a day?
Don’t give up. If you miss a day you can try to read two passages in one day to catch up, or just finish a day later. The goal is to read the Bible. The challenge is to start or finish in 2025. Keep Reading!
What version do I use?
We are using The Bible Project App as a guide, and they use the English Standard Version (ESV). If you are using your own Bible, you can use any version you want (NIV, KJV, MSG, NASB, NASA, NIrV, or NKJV) -
(one of those isn’t a translation)
Do I have to follow This reading plan?
Absolutely not! Our goal is for people to read scripture! You can create your own plan or find one of the thousands that are already out there. Just keep reading!
I am already reading the Bible in a year… Now what?
Keep going. Cover To Cover in 2025! It doesn’t matter if you start or end in 2025. Don’t wait for us.
Will this challenge be graded?
No one will be grading your progress. However, we do want to encourage you to let someone know you are reading it. People are 726% more likely to finish a challenge they started when they tell someone.
